Bennett Joel (known as OWL online) is a writer and creative consultant for Elwood. He was scheduled to write Love and Fate, a three-part issue that marked the deaths of Bitzi and Bo.

WritingEdit

After writing a draft, Love and Fate was not accepted by Samuel Anderson. Joel also wrote The Land Before Buster, when Bitzi tells Buster how she and Bo divorced, and The Poetry Slam, when Fern hosts a poetry slam. Both issues were never created. Next, Joel wrote Worlds Apart. This time, his work was accepted by Samuel Anderson, and Worlds Apart was released on August 20, 2014. Later, Bennett wrote She Lives, but that was also not accepted.

Joel wrote the manuscript for Touched by an Angel, which was revised by Samuel Anderson, resulting in a collaboration.

Creative consultantEdit

Joel is credited for often writing or brainstorming ideas for new issues, and advicing Samuel Anderson.
