"...Your crummy shop..."
Arthur Read on the ice cream shop
Powers' Ice Cream was an ice cream shop in Elwood City. It was owned by the Powers family, specifically Mrs. Powers. It went out of business when it failed to compete with the popular Sugar Bowl (Alan's Plea). Alan "The Brain" Powers was it's only known employee. The ice cream was sold for ten dollars a cone (Alan's Plea).

When money became low, Mrs. Powers ordered her son to go and make his friends eat at the ice cream shop instead of the Sugar Bowl. When Brain's friends refuse to do so (Sue Ellen Armstrong said the ice cream tastes "putrid"), the shop went out of business.
